Whilst lecturing at NCA recently, one of the things I was asked to share was more case histories. So here is the first one, not mine, but from fantastic practitioner who uses a lot of HMA in his clinic alongside other testing and good old fashioned case history taking.

HTMA shows calcium shell (body using it as a buffer from toxins), potassium channel is blocked (often from copper or mercury which is showing at moderate levels) and low selenium (needed to detox mercury). HPA-axis dysfunction.
Urinary porphyrins test is more functional for looking at the effect of metals in heme biosynthetic pathway and shows effects of mercury (precoproporphyrin) as well as possible lead (coproporphyrin) in her case, which didn't show in the hair and often doesn't upon initial testing"
So, the testing as formed part of the picture to now help restore the client to help.
